The Instructional Design Intern supports the Learning & Development team by assisting with the review, maintenance, and updating of digital learning content within the Learning Management System (LMS). This role provides hands-on experience with instructional design processes, eLearning content updates, and LMS quality assurance activities under the guidance of experienced team members.
What You Will Be Doing:
- eLearning Course Review & Optimization
- Review existing eLearning courses in the LMS to evaluate accuracy, relevance, and alignment with current business needs.
- Identify content requiring updates, revisions, or assignment modifications, and document findings.
- Review and verify LMS course settings to ensure proper configuration and learner accessibility.
- Content & Branding Updates
- Assist with updating eLearning course players to align with current company branding and ensure full functionality within the LMS.
- Apply approved branding elements to training materials and digital assets in accordance with established company brand guidelines.
- Quality Assurance & Content Alignment
- Review course descriptions and learning objectives to ensure alignment with course content and intended outcomes.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve to enhance learner engagement, instructional clarity, and overall course effectiveness.
- Design & Development Support
- Contribute to the design and development of learning modules under the guidance of Instructional Design Team Members, for various stakeholder groups using instructional design best practices.
- Assist in enhancing learning content through interactivity, visual design, and streamlined instructional flow.
- LMS Support
- Partner with the LMS Administrator to upload, update, and maintain training content in the LMS.
- Assist LMS Administrator with troubleshooting basic LMS issues and support the team in maintaining content organization and data accuracy.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Support team projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Collaborate with instructional designers, trainers, subject matter experts, and leadership to ensure content quality and consistency.

What You Will Bring:
- Experience with eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Vyond, or Canva), via coursework and project work.
- Prior internship, volunteer, academic, or work experience involving learning and development, instructional design and eLearning is preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is a plus.
- Experience using basic office technology or productivity tools in an academic or work setting is beneficial.
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in an accredited bachelor’s program—enrolled in a Master's program or a recent graduate (within 1 year).
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and must be in good academic standing.
Travel Requirements
- This position requires flexibility in work location based on business needs. The Instructional Design Intern will be based at the Orlando - Windhover Corporate Office or work from one of our Orlando or Kissimmee resort locations. Occasional travel between locations may be required to support hiring activities and on-site recruiting efforts.
