The Loss Prevention Specialist is responsible for supporting the overall safety and compliance of the resort. This role works closely with Security and Risk Management teams to ensure the property remains in compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and fire safety regulations while promoting a culture of workplace safety.
The Loss Prevention Specialist conducts safety inspections, investigates incidents, helps coordinate safety programs, and assists departments with maintaining safe work practices across the resort.
What You’ll Do as a Loss Prevention Specialist:
- Inspect resort grounds, buildings, and facilities to identify hazards and safety violations
- Document findings through mitigation reports including photos, descriptions, codes, and recommended solutions
- Create and follow up on service orders to ensure safety concerns are resolved
- Conduct safety assessments and provide recommendations for resort events
- Assist with investigations and safety reports for Risk Management and Security
- Ensure team members and contractors follow proper safety procedures
- Perform weekly eyewash station inspections and monthly AED inspections
- Maintain AED devices and ensure supplies remain fully operational
- Manage first aid supply inventory for the resort
- Support golf cart safety programs including driver certification and remedial training
- Assist in developing safety policies, documents, and training materials with Risk Management
- Coordinate and support monthly safety topics and safety training initiatives
- Help organize and participate in resort Safety Fairs
- Organize and manage the evidence room while ensuring proper documentation and chain of custody
- Lead and coordinate the monthly Safety Committee, including meeting documentation and communication with leadership teams
- Provide support to the Security department as needed

What You Will Bring
- Minimum 2 years of experience in safety, loss prevention, or OSHA compliance
- Prior hospitality or guest service experience preferred
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and regulatory compliance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Education & Certifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Safety, Security, Risk Management, or related field preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain position-specific certifications (OSHA, CFI, etc.)
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license to drive company vehicles
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors and indoors in various weather conditions
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
